Decorex 2012 – George Spencer by Boundary Space

We are delighted to have designed the Decorex 2012 exhibition stand for the fabric house George Spencer Designs. This year’s stand was a particularly demanding brief, as it needed to show a tremendous range of labels including F.Leitner KG and Cottonberry. We really enjoy the quick turnaround that designing exhibition stands allows for and were ably assisted by Well Maintained Ltd, who were astonishing in their execution of the stand. We use WM for the delivery of many of our fine interiors throughout Notting Hill, Kensington and Chelsea and they proved that exhibition stands are another string to their bow. The joinery was provided by Kinley, who are one of our longstanding and brilliantly capable suppliers.

The challenge of the stand was how to create a really interactive exhibit  that would allow GSD staff to engage with designers. Our response was to create an eye catching installation, which is coupled with a number of elements that allow the samples and show lengths to be handled and compared. For the first time we also included an area which shows the forthcoming collections in mid-development, this includes various  pre-production colour ways and designs. The show opens tomorrow and we wish George Spencer Designs a really productive few days.
